The old garden roses that bloomed in European gardens before 1867 (when the modern hybrid tea Rose, 'La France', changed rose breeding forever) take twelve pages in Vintage Roses 2027 Wall Calendar. The featured varieties lean into the heritage classes: gallicas, damasks, albas, centifolias, moss roses, and the deeply fragrant bourbons that came out of the Reunion Islands in the 1820s. The photography catches them in full bloom (and the occasional half-blown state that vintage rose growers actually prefer), with the soft, almost watercolor light that suits petal photography.
